The aim of Headstart Sports Coaching is to provide a high standard of coaching during the game-relevant sessions and drills, with small-sided games that children of all abilities will enjoy, within a safe environment, whilst giving the children the platform to have fun and express themselves. This can be arranged at varying venues.
Sessions are open for children from ages 7-10 year olds. This programme will commence throughout the calendar year based on 6-8 week blocks, price to be advised.
The OWLSAcademy Program has been designed for players looking to progress their soccer skills. Sessions by our Headstart Sport Coaching coaches for these groups will look at technical improvement with and without the ball, as well as understanding the game.
A perfect way to celebrate your child’s birthday within a safe environment at the same time taking the strain off parents. Headstart Sports Coaching party sessions are designed to provide fun games and sporting activities for the enjoyment of all energetic partygoers!
Our coaches will customize a full 2-hour party that suits your needs and provide a first class service for all that attend, making it a day to remember! The great thing about Headstart Sports Coaching is that we are totally versatile, we can either provide you with a venue for your party, or just provide our services for the party itself and leave the venue up to you, whatever you decide.
A great way for children to relax after their school day. The National Guidelines on Physical Activity in Ireland recommends that children and young people between the ages of 2-18, engage in moderate to vigorous activity for at least 60 minutes every day. Headstart Sports Coaching offers specific coaching programs to cover all school ages and abilities. The sessions take place in the safe environment of their own school grounds. The sessions also look to help improve ability in the varying sports, which includes fun activities and games.
I currently run ongoing After School Clubs with Gaelscoil an Choillíon, Coole, Whitehall & Lus Na Greine in Granard, covering a wide range of sports!

During our Camps we will concentrate the morning session on improving technique with the afternoon sessions being made up of fun team games for all to enjoy. Each child will receive a certificate of excellence. These Camps are held during Easter and Summer school holidays. The Camps run for 4 days, from 10:00 to 14:00.
A Breakfast Club is also provided from 9:00 to 10:00 during Camp-time, for parents who work and wish to drop their child(ren) early. A charge of €2 per day, per child will apply.

If you have booked in a Headstart Sports Coaching Camp and unfortunately you cannot attend camp, could you if possible, please give 48 hours cancellation notice prior to camp commencing! We organise blitzes for girls and boys for the Headstart Sport Coaching participating schools in the Westmeath & Longford area. These blitzes taken place at Streete Parish Park in late April/early May. Its a great way for schools to foster good relations and friendships and to build confidence for school children who take part.
Our Westmeath & Longford Schools (OWLS), as well as being available to help with warm-up sessions for other organised blitzes. I have facilitated warm-up Blitzes & sessions in preparation for the FAI Spar Primary School 5-a-side Tournaments, with participating National Schools: Abbeylara, Collinstown, Coole & Lismacaffrey
